6/23 - A Message from Liz McHugh, Volunteer Coordinator

I want to take this opportunity to thank those of you who have already volunteered at My Possibilities during the month of June. Your contribution is important in the continued success of this program and we sincerely appreciate your efforts.

I would like to outline several areas in which we could really use your help.

First, we need help over the lunch time hours between 11am-1pm while our staff have their lunch. We need several people EACH day in this type of coverage.  This is a great way to get to know the HIPsters by engaging them in conversation and encouraging interaction.

Another opportunity and area where we need help is with the Friday outings/field trips. Generally these outings will run between 10am-2pm every Friday beginning July 11th.  Again, this is another great opportunity to get to know both the HIPsters and staff better in an informal and fun setting which will vary each week.

We also need assistants to help our fabulous staff in the class rooms working directly with the HIPsters. Ideally a block of time between 8am-12noon, 9am-1pm, 12noon-4pm, 1pm-5pm would be a tremendous help. However, if you can not commit to that much time we can work with your schedule.

Lastly and importantly, we REALLY need male volunteers in our program! In particular for our Friday outings but basically throughout our entire volunteer program.
